Vancouver Aquarium Marine Science Centre
One of North America's largest and best, the Vancouver Aquarium houses more than 8,000 marine species. In the icy-blue Arctic Canada exhibit, you can see beluga whales whistling and blowing water at unwary onlookers. The Pacific Canada exhibit is dedicated to sea life indigenous to B.C. waters, including the Pacific salmon and the giant Pacific octopus. On the Marine Mammal Deck are sea otters, Steller sea lions, beluga whales, and a Pacific white-sided dolphin.

Science World at Telus World of Science
Science World, is a hands-on scientific discovery center where you and your kids can light up a plasma ball, walk through a 160-sq-m maze, wander through the interior of a camera, create a cyclone, watch a zucchini explode as it's charged with 80,000 volts, stand inside a beaver lodge, play in wrist-deep magnetic liquids, and watch mind-blowing 3D slide and laser shows as well as other optical effects. Science World is loaded with adventures for kids from toddler age to early teens.

Maplewood Farm
Maplewood Farm is a 5 acre farm that got its start in the early 1900s as a dairy farm and by 1970 was the last remaining farm in North Vancouver. Today Maplewood Farm is a fun and educational farm.   With more than 200 domestic animals and birds, the farm offers milking demonstrations, pony rides, a petting area, and special events year round.

Greater Vancouver Zoo
The Greater Vancouver Zoo is dedicated to preserving and protecting endangered species, and creating an educational environment that inspires appreciation and concern about wildlife and wild places, while providing a recreational setting for its visitors. Visit over 700 animals, housed on more than 120 acres about 30 miles from the hotel. Ride the miniature train around the zoo, go on a safari, even watch as the lions and tigers are being fed.
